In hand

On the cup, box or bag people carry to their desk, car and kitchen table. Counted item by item.

For cafes, takeaways and venues

Get paid for what you already hand out.

Your best-selling cup or box goes out the door hundreds of times a week. We match you with a brand that suits your customers, supply the stickers and sleeves, and pay you for every one you serve. You keep the full sale price too.

Card surcharges ended on 1 October. Since 1 October 2026, venues can't add a surcharge to eftpos, Mastercard or Visa payments. Handful helps you cover that cost without putting your prices up. For example, a 1.5% surcharge on a $6 coffee was 9c. A branded cup pays you about 30c, more than three times that.
  1. Tell us about your venueYour best seller, roughly how many you sell, and which till you use.
  2. We match you with a brandYou approve the brand before anything is signed. Stickers and sleeves are delivered to you, paid for by the brand.
  3. Sticker it, serve it, get paidSticker a stack of cups before the rush, so busy times are just the next cup. Send your till's item report at month end. We pay you within 14 days.

Who it suits

Migration agents and law firmsInstead of paying for a banner at one event, be on your next client's desk every working day.
Real estate and mortgage brokersBe the name people see in the suburbs where you sell.
Gyms, studios and neighboursThe yoga studio next door on the cafe's best-selling matcha. Business backing business.
Insurers, super funds and banksChoose venues by who buys there: retirees in one suburb, young families or FIFO workers in another.
Energy, resources and big employersBuild your name in town and recruit locally. Each venue chooses which brands it carries.

How pricing works

Per item served

You pay for each branded item that actually leaves the counter, up to a monthly cap you set. No item served, no charge.

Simplest option: take every cup. Your brand goes on every cup a venue serves for the month. Pick 2, 5, 10 or 20 venues. The more venues you take, the lower your rate per cup.

Indicative Darwin launch pricing: from 70c per counted cup with stickers, minimum 2 venues, plus a one-off setup. Sleeves cost more. Your quote confirms the exact rate. Ex GST.

LocalA few venues in your suburb.
CityVenues across one city.
StateMultiple cities in one state.
NationalVenues across Australia, as the network grows.

Counted, not claimed

Every item is counted. Every number is yours to check.

Plenty of advertising runs on estimates. We count what actually went out, from the venue's own till, and show you the working.

  • Counted from the tillThe branded item is set up as its own product in the venue's till, so every sale is counted. The venue sends us the item report each month.
  • Checked against stockStickers come in numbered batches. Stickers delivered, minus stickers left over, should match the items claimed. If they don't, we find out why.
  • Spot-checked in personWe buy coffees at every venue, unannounced, and photograph the cup. A count only stands if the stickers are on the cups.
  • A QR code for every venueEach venue gets its own code, so you see which venues drive scans, not just a total. A venue scanning well below the others gets a visit.
  • A report every monthItems served, scans and cost per item, by venue. Plain numbers, no padding.

Questions

The fine print, in plain English

Does it cost the venue anything?

No. Brands pay for the stickers, sleeves and the campaign. Venues only earn.

Can a venue say no to a brand?

Yes. You see and approve every brand before it goes on your items, and you can rule out any category you don't want.

Can a venue take advertising from someone else too?

While you're with Handful, paid advertising on your cups and takeaway items goes through us. If a business asks you about it, send them our way and you still earn your normal rate. That protects the brands who chose your venue. Your own logo, cups and specials are yours to run as you like.

Do you accept every brand?

We welcome applications from all kinds of businesses, and we accept or decline each one case by case. Once a brand is accepted, each venue decides whether to partner with it.

Why now?

Card surcharges on eftpos, Mastercard and Visa ended on 1 October 2026. Handful gives venues another way to cover card fees without putting prices up.

How do you count items?

From the venue's till. The branded item is set up as its own product, and the venue exports the item report each month. We check it against stickers used.

How do you know the stickers actually go on?

We buy coffees at every venue unannounced and photograph the cup, and we compare QR scans across venues. Items served without a sticker aren't paid for.

What if a month is quiet?

Brands only pay for items served, so a quiet month costs less. A monthly cap means a busy month never runs over budget.

What goes on the sticker?

The brand's logo, one short line and a QR code. Nothing that suggests the item is free or discounted.

What do you do with my details?

We use what you send us only to reply about Handful, and we never sell it. This site may use the Meta Pixel to count which pages and ads lead to sign-ups. It records that a form was sent, not what you typed into it.

How long does a campaign run?

Usually three months, with two weeks' notice to end early.

Business backing business.

Venues earn from what they already hand out. Brands reach real customers, counted item by item. The network is opening city by city across Australia. Darwin is first.
